Why Organic Clothing?2021-04-24T01:06:29+00:00

One of the most popular topics that everyone has been talking about lately is organic clothing and fabrics made of bamboo yarn. We all know that fabrics made from organic cotton are more beneficial for our health. Like organic cotton, bamboo has many benefits for our skin. But do we really know what organic farming is?

Organic agriculture is a production method that does not harm the environment without using any chemical inputs in production. Every stage of organic agriculture is controlled and subjected to certain certificates. In organic agriculture, no chemicals and pesticides are used during the cultivation, harvesting, cutting, processing, packaging, labeling, storage and delivery of the product to the consumer. Thanks to organic farming, farmers and their families are not exposed to pesticides first and then protect the health of the society. In Turkey, chemical dyes are available in many textile products. Unfortunately, these used substances seriously threaten our health. However, organic products do not disturb the natural balance of your body, they are completely obtained from organic plants in nature and do not contain any pure and unnatural substances.

By using organic products, we protect our health, reduce our risk of allergies and avoid chemical residues that cause many diseases. We contribute to the efforts to leave a clean, natural environment for our children.

What is bamboo and how is it used in textile?

Bamboo is a type of reed that is mostly used in the production of furniture, stairs, walking sticks and textiles in hot countries. Bamboo mainly grows in the Indian and Pacific islands. It is between 25 and 40 meters tall. Imported from China bamboo is converted into yarn in Turkey. Bamboo trees, which are used as raw materials of natural yarns, are turned into fibers and this fiber is used in the production of textile products after being processed in machines and turned into yarn. During these processes, care is taken to keep the yarns natural and pure.

Benefits of Bamboo

  •  Bamboo is Organic – Unlike cotton plants, bamboo plants grow without pesticides and fertilizers. For organic cotton cultivation worldwide, only 10% -25% of all soils cultivated in the world are farmed without pesticides (spraying) and fertilization. Bamboo canes are naturally organic due to their cultivation style and the natural filter feature of the plant.
  • Environmentally friendly – Bamboo is a type of tree that can grow very quickly and decay very quickly when it becomes waste. Thanks to this feature, it does not harm our environment.
  • Bamboo absorbs 35% more carbon dioxide than other trees and increases our power to fight against global warming. Use of bamboo-containing products should be encouraged to reduce carbon dioxide absorption.
  • Highly absorbent – Bamboo absorbs 60% more water than cotton. It is a great choice for towels, muslin cloths, fabric diapers and bathrobes.
  • It has a breathable structure – very healthy for our skin thanks to its fiber porous structure.
  • Maintains our heat balance – thanks to the thermo property of bamboo, our body retains its heat in cold weather and does not sweat in hot weather.
  • Anti-allergic – bamboo is natural and organic, making it an excellent choice for babies’ sensitive skin. Products made of bamboo prevent our skin from being irritated and do not cause allergic reactions thanks to their antibacterial properties.
  • Protects our skin against UV rays – Bamboo fiber absorbs sweat thanks to its micro texture and allows it to dry immediately. It helps our babies’ skin to breathe and protects your baby against the harmful effects of the sun by breaking the ultraviolet rays.
